How we use data
This page is a plain-English summary of how WithYou uses data. It sits alongside our full Privacy Policy, which contains the complete legal detail.
WithYou only uses the data needed to make the experience work. We are not building a social network, selling personal data, or turning your movement into another performance-tracking platform.

WithYou is a No Full Stop venture. No Full Stop is responsible for handling applicable privacy and data requests relating to the WithYou service, including the WithYou mobile application where applicable.

When you create an account, we store your name and email address. This lets you log in, recover access, and link your activities to your profile.
We don't sell this. We don't share it for marketing purposes.
🎙️
Voice messages are recorded by supporters through a simple web link. They're stored securely and only you can hear them — they're locked until the right moment in your activity.
Supporters choose an optional name, which is shown to you so you know who recorded it. We don't store any other data about supporters.

When you start an activity, we use your device's GPS to track distance and route. This is used to time your supporter messages correctly — for example, at the halfway point or when you're near the finish.
We don't store GPS routes long-term. We don't share location data with anyone.

We collect basic information about how the app is used — which features are opened, crash reports, and performance data. This helps us fix bugs and improve the experience.
This data is not linked to your identity in a way that is shared with third parties.

When you invite supporters, you share a link with them directly — by message, WhatsApp, email, or wherever works for you. We never access your contacts or address book.
Supporters open the link, record their message, and that's it. We don't store their contact details.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. This can be initiated directly from within the app on the Settings screen.
You can also email us at hello@withyoufitness.co.uk and we'll handle it manually within 30 days.
This is a requirement under UK GDPR and also a requirement from Apple for apps that allow account creation. We take it seriously.
Data requests relate to your WithYou account and the WithYou service as a whole, including the WithYou mobile application where applicable. When you contact us, please mention that you use the mobile app so we can make sure your request covers everything.
Apple requires apps to declare in the App Store what data they collect, whether it is linked to your identity, and whether it is used for tracking. Here's the WithYou summary:
